This trial is testing if doing some exercise right before cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps people with depression. Participants will either rest quietly or do moderate exercise immediately before 8 weeks of CBT sessions.

Primary: Behavioral Activation for Depression Scale (BADS), GRID Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (GRID-HAMD), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9)

Secondary: 36-item Short Form health survey (SF-36), Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7 questionnaire (GAD-7), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)
